New book features Memorial

Author Peter Roberts, a friend of the Trust from ‘Down Under’, has published a new book which contains considerable coverage of the Memorial here at Capel-le-Ferne.

The Battle of Britain, Aircrew from Australia, their Aircraft and a Modeller's Guide, is published by Busybird Publishing and is now available in Australia and the UK.

Peter, a volunteer at the RAAF Museum at Point Cook, Melbourne, visited the clifftop Memorial with his wife Di just before the pandemic and was given help with his research by Trustee Andy Simpson and historian and author Geoff Simpson FRHistS (no relation).

Their support, and the loan of a number of photographs, helped Peter include a chapter headed The Battle of Britain Today, which leads with considerable coverage of the Memorial and includes much Trust reference material in the source notes.

Pete and wife Di will be visiting the UK and the Memorial this summer and will be sure of a warm welcome from the Trust.
