A well-earned 'thank you'

Our hard-working volunteers joined staff members, trustees and other supporters at the annual Christmas lunch to thank them for their hard work and commitment to the cause during 2025.

President of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton GCB welcomed all those present to the event at the Dover Marina Hotel & Spa Tapestry Collection by Hilton, one of the Trust's much-valued busines sponsors.

All those present enjoyed a splendid Christmas lunch to kick off the festivities and thank them for all they do for the charity, which depends on volunteers to support staff members in welcoming visitors, running the shop and cafe and keeping the Memorial looking immaculate.

The Wing visitor centre and car park will be closed from 4pm on Sunday 21 December through to 10am on Tuesday 6 January, although the outside features of the Memorial are always open to visitors on foot via the pedestrian entrance gate.

Please note that from 6 January, admission to our popular, multi-media, Scramble Experience will be cheaper and included in a new entry charge for The Wing. Access to the cafe will still be available. The Trust is a charity that receives no support from central or local government.
