William is a winner

Malcolm

Proud photographer William Horton is pictured with his prizes after being judged the winner of our photography competition following this August’s successful photography workshop at the site.

William, who is 14 and lives in Lincolnshire, was one of nine young people who learned how to take better pictures and practised on the many attractions at the Memorial.

Professional photographer Barry Duffield and social media expert Becca Collier-Cook showed the youngsters how to make best use of their cameras and smartphones – and William’s artistic shot of our Stuka sculpture showed just how carefully he was listening!

William is pictured with his prize, two books on the subjects and a framed photo of his winning entry. It wasn’t all about the competition, of course. The young people had a great day exploring the Memorial, while their families also enjoyed the attractions at the clifftop site - and the Cockpit Café.
