Under observation

Members of the Royal Observer Corps Association, including two local members from the Royal Air Forces Association’s Wye branch, enjoyed fine weather when they visited the Memorial.

Thirteen members of the group were taken on a tour of the clifftop tribute by site manager  Jules Gomez before enjoying the impressive views and refreshments on offer in the first floor Cockpit Café.

Andy Hall, who served on the Royal Observer Corps post which overlooked Folkestone, presented Jules with a commemorative plaque to hang in the stairwell inside The Wing

It sounds like a wonderful visit! It's great to hear that the weather was nice for the Royal Observer Corps Association members and that they had the opportunity to enjoy the stunning views and the hospitality at the Cockpit Café. The commemorative plaque presentation by Andy Hall is a lovely touch and will surely be a meaningful addition to The Wing. Kudos to Jules Gomez for hosting the tour and making it a memorable experience for everyone involved! slice masters
