New webinar added to spring series

Trust Secretary Patrick Tootal, who launched our current series of webinars with his recollections of life as an Air Attaché in Madrid and a Defence Attaché in Buenos Aires, has agreed to deliver a second presentation to our growing audience of online enthusiasts.

Following Patrick’s tales of life as a diplomat, which he delivered in November, the Trust has enjoyed two well-supported webinars from author Dilip Sarkar and a talk from historian Paul Beaver on The Forgotten Few of the Fleet Air Arm yesterday (Wednesday 10 March) and is looking forward to another by author Christopher Joll on 24 March.

Now Hercules pilot Patrick, who retired from the Royal Air Force as a Group Captain, has agreed to bookend the series with a webinar entitled Travelling Through My Logbook. Planned for Wednesday 14 April, it promises to be a fascinating illustrated journey from his first instructional flight on 27 July 1958 through life at RAF College Cranwell, his appearance in a Ladybird book and a distinguished career in an impressive variety of posts and operational theatres.

As with all the Trust’s webinars, it starts at 3pm. Joining details will be posted in due course.

Group Captain Patrick Tootal, Hon Sec of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust.

Great to see a new webinar added to the spring series — these talks are such a wonderful way to keep history alive and accessible for everyone. It also made me think how classic style and timeless appeal, whether in stories like this or Ray-Ban Shades, help make experiences memorable and meaningful.

Great news! Adding a new webinar to the spring series is a fantastic way to keep the community engaged, share knowledge, and bring fresh ideas to participants. Learning and staying connected through such sessions always adds value and helps people grow professionally and personally.

In the same way, experiences also bring people together beyond screens. At Himalayan Tiger Adventure Rishikesh, travelers connect through real-life adventures like Rishikesh river rafting and outdoor activities, creating memories and teamwork that last long after the experience ends. Looking forward to seeing how this new webinar inspires participants!
