Looking to give something back to your community? The Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne is on the lookout for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers with good mobility to join its team. Whether you enjoy welcoming visitors, helping in the café, or lending a hand behind the scenes, there’s a role to suit a range of interests and skills.
The volunteering open day will be held on Thursday 16th April from 10am - 12pm and 2.30pm - 4.30pm. If you're aged 16 or over and can spare either a full or half day, especially at weekends, we’d love to see you there.
No previous experience is needed and you certainly don’t have to be a history expert. Full training is provided - all that is required is enthusiasm and a friendly smile.
Volunteers will gain the chance to learn new skills, make new friends and play a part in sharing the powerful story of ‘the Few’.
While you can just drop in on the day, it would be helpful to let the team know you’re coming. Please email enquiries@battleofbritainmemorial.org with your name and approximate arrival time.
If you’re unable to attend the open day but would still like to get involved, you can use the same email address to arrange a conversation at a more convenient time.
The Battle of Britain Memorial can be found at New Dover Road, Capel-le-Ferne, Folkestone, Kent, CT18 7JJ.
