Visitors enjoy air show bonus

Visitors to the Memorial on Sunday (21 August) enjoyed the added bonus of seeing aircraft lining up ahead of their displays as part of the Folkestone Air Display.

Although a good three miles from the flightline, a good crowd of those 'in the know' took advantage of the site's clifftop location to catch a distant glimpse of the airborne activity and enjoy line up passes by the Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Trust photographer and Trustee Barry Duffield captured the superb shot of the Lancaster's low pass over the site, while fellow Trustee Andy Simpson framed some interesting shots of the Red Arrows and the Memorial Flight interacting with two of the Memorial's static attractions.
