Super cars, super backdrop

Updated: Jul 28, 2022

The National Memorial to the Few and The Wing again provided a stunning backdrop for car enthusiasts who visited Capel-le-Ferne at the weekend.

Caterham owners from Essex, Sussex and Kent arrived in large numbers despite traffic chaos around the port of Dover, and were rewarded with a sunny day and a very special photo opportunity.

The proud petrol heads also supported the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, visiting The Scramble Experience and shop, eating and drinking in the café and making generous donations via our collection boxes. The classy Caterhams also provided another attraction for other visitors to the site during the day.

The visit was organised by Piers Rendell and ably supported by David Stamp, one of the site’s much-valued volunteers who also owns one of the stylish and sporty vehicles.
