Battle of Britain Day, commemorated on 15 September each year, marks a decisive victory by the Royal Air Force which is now seen as having been a turning point in the Battle for air superiority over the UK.
The Battle of Britain Memorial marks the day with a short Service of Remembrance which takes place around the National Memorial to the Few at Capel-le-Ferne, beginning at 11am.
Everyone is welcome to join the ceremony, which takes place on Battle of Britain Day itself - this coming Friday - and NOT on the closest Sunday.
