A late burst of fine summer weather and a huge turnout of beautifully preserved old vehicles made the annual visit of the Ramsgate Old Motor and Motorcycle Club another great success.
Cars of all shapes, ages, styles and colours were displayed in the photogenic setting of the Battle of Britain Memorial, giving visitors something extra special to enjoy on a fine and warm Sunday afternoon.
The highly polished collection of head-turners looked extra special against the backdrop of the National Memorial to the Few as club members once again made it an event to remember.
The Bonnets and Wings Classic Car Show has entertained visitors to the show for a number of years and helps to support the charity, with many of the drivers using the cafe, donating to the cause and often spending money in the shop.
“The Bonnet & Wings Classic Car Show is always a great event and this year was no different,” said site manager Jules Gomez. "Our visitors enjoyed the line up of well-cared for cars and the charity benefited from the generosity of the drivers, something that's very important, given our charitable status."
Organiser Peter Harvey is a generous supporter of the Memorial and organises the event not just because club members enjoy it but because he hopes the opportunity to see so many splendid vehicles in such a beautiful setting encourages more visitors on the day.
Visitors also enjoyed live music from the Shepway Hythe U3A Swing Band.
