We're hoping to win £1,000 in a national scheme aimed at supporting worthwhile causes - and you can help!
Supporters who have been with us for some time may remember that we won a similar cash grant a while back in a scheme run by Ecclesiastical. It's simple, easy to enter, and winning would be a welcome boost to our funds.
The Movement for Good grants are given to charities that are nominated by their supporters. All you need to do is visit the Movement for Good website and nominate the Trust (we've made that easy, too).
The good news is that the successful charities aren’t necessarily the ones with the most nominations but are randomly selected. It means that even smaller charities are in with a chance of winning, but clearly the more nominations we have, the more chance there is of being ‘pulled out of the hat’.
This time we’ve made it even easier to nominate us. You don’t have to find the Trust to nominate it as we’ve already done that bit. Just follow this link and add a few details to register the Memorial as your favourite charity and give us a better chance of winning. And remember, you can ignore the search box – the Trust will already be highlighted in the dropdown box.
It costs around £250,000 a year to run the Memorial, and with no government funding of any kind, the Trust depends on donations, shop and café sales and Scramble Experience income to survive. This is one more way in which you can help.
