Happy World Book Day

Malcolm

Author and great friend of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust Dilip Sarkar MBE FRHistS has given would-be writers some sound advice to mark World Book Day (Thursday 2 February).

Dilip is currently working on an eight-volume history of the Battle of Britain which will is being published by Pen & Sword Books in association with the Trust. The first two volumes are set to be released later this year.

In a blog aimed at inspiring other writers on World Book Day, the prolific author of more than 50 books talks about how he became an author, his passion for history, particularly the story of the Battle of Britain, and the life of a writer.

It is a fascinating read - and Dilip is kind enough to mention the Trust and the National Memorial to the Few here at Capel-le-Ferne.

Aspiring authors, Battle of Britain enthusiasts and those who are simply interested in what makes a writer tick should take a look. The blog is at https://www.pen-and-sword.co.uk/blog/world-book-day-a-masterclass-with-the-prolific-author-and-historian-dilip-sarkar-mbe/
