A charity weekend to raise funds for the Trust and other RAF-themed causes is being held at Denton's famous Jackdaw pub over the weekend of September 14 and 15.
The Jackdaw was used in the film Battle of Britain and contains a considerable amount of themed memorabilia and photographs. Attractions at the pub over the weekend will include a replica of the MG used in the film, which will be parked outside.
Other classic cars will also be on display, along with wartime vehicles, re-enactors, face painting for children, a wartime hairdresser and a beer festival which will also offer ciders, lager and wine.
The event, which is raising money for the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, the RAF Benevolent Fund and the Kent Battle of Britain Museum at Hawkinge, will run from 11am to 6pm each day, with the beer festival open until 11pm on the Saturday and 7pm on the Sunday.
The free event will also feature a charity raffle, with a 30-minute ride in a two-seater Spitfire from Biggin Hill on offer as the first prize.
