Centre stage again!

Second world war enthusiasts and popular broadcasters James Holland and Al Murray visited the clifftop Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne to record one of their unique and much-loved podcasts.

Historian and author James and author and comedian Al were at the Memorial to record one of their Walking The Ground episodes, focusing on the Battle of Britain. The team from What's Not To Like Productions used the location for an episode that looked at the course of the war from the Battle of France through to the end of the Battle in October 1940.

They were met by Memorial Manager Jules Gomez and enjoyed an unexpected bonus when a Spitfire overflew the Memorial’s inspirational clifftop setting.

As a charity that depends on public support to remain open, the Trust always welcomes broadcasters as the publicity these programmes generates helps encourage more visitors.

The programme is likely to be aired in September at https://www.ww2headquarters.com/walking-the-ground
