A group of Belgian visitors paid a moving tribute to some of their countryfolk during a visit to the Battle of Britain Memorial at Capel-le-Ferne.
Grégoire De Bruyne, the national director of the country’s Royal National Federation of War Volunteers, led a delegation that laid a wreath at the Christopher Foxley-Norris Memorial Wall in honour of fallen former servicemen.
“Our patriotic association has been in existence since 1830 and commemorates the Belgian war volunteers who served in 1830, from 1914 to 1918 and from 1940 to 1945,” Grégoire explained.
