Thank you for the storage!

Donations come in various shapes and sizes – but our most recent and very gratefully received one, arrived on a rather large lorry!

We have been gifted a storage unit – which will be used for a variety of equipment that we need to keep dry, clean and out of the way.

The container was generously donated by Piers Steed, MD of Manston-based storage specialists Equus Storage Solutions and will save the Trust more than £1,200 – which can be spent in other areas of the charity.

Honorary Secretary of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, Wing Commander, Ian Woodhouse, said: “This is a brilliant example of how a local business can help us with something outside of a financial a donation. Of course, these donations are always welcome, but equipment like this, skills and volunteered time are also very appreciated and are what allows us to keep looking after the Memorial as we do.

“Thanks to Equus Storage Solutions, we now have a safe, secure storage unit without the bill to go with it – and that money can instead be used by the charity where it’s needed elsewhere.”
