The pedestrian route to The Wing is currently slightly more difficult than normal as we proceed with our exciting scheme to floodlight the main features at the Memorial site.
The footpath in front of the Beaverbrook Wall just inside the entrance to the site is currently out of bounds for cabling work, and we regret any inconvenience caused to pedestrians or those in wheelchairs or pushing buggies.
Those on foot can still access to The Wing and other areas by following the route around the back of Hunting Lodge (the building to the right of the entrance gates) or via the gate in the centre of the site, near to the bus stop. This will be closed but not locked and visitors using this access are asked to close the gate behind them.
We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we are sure the lighting scheme will make up for what is expected to be just one week's disruption.
