Another poignant commemoration

Standards dipped and a large group of people stood silently to attention as Last Post was sounded at the National Memorial to the Few on the clifftop here at Capel-le-Ferne this morning (11 November).

A large crowd gathered around the statue of the seated airman – at the heart of the Battle of Britain Memorial – for the annual Act of Remembrance, led by Father Kevin Jacobs of the Church of St Mary in Castro, Dover.

Trustees, staff members and volunteers joined villagers and visitors to pay their respects to the fallen during the short but poignant service, which the Trust always holds on Armistice Day itself rather than on the nearest Sunday to that date. A number of wreaths were laid at the Memorial as part of the ceremony.

It gets darker at night, which makes the game feel more real. With new events, each play feels like a new one traffic rider

Your description captures the solemnity of the melon playground moment beautifully — the National Memorial to the Few at Capel‑le‑Ferne is such a poignant setting for remembrance.

Such a visionary piece! You brought clarity to complexity and showed a rare understanding of both the subject and your Infinite Craft audience. Brilliantly done!
