RAF Presentation Team delivers fascinating talk

This year’s autumn Sunday talks opened with an extremely informative and entertaining presentation by the RAF Presentation Team about the modern Royal Air Force.

WO Sonya Derbyshire and AS1(T) Catherine Brady, both serving RAF personnel with a wide breadth of experience, including active duty on recent British military operations worldwide, took great delight in informing and enlightening their audience as they delivered a multi-media presentation, showcasing the current operations, cutting-edge equipment and the outstanding people that make up the Royal Air Force. The presentation was enhanced with stunning photographs and videos taken during operations by the Royal Air Force.

As well as presenting the current RAF service, the presentation also looked to future roles, equipment and the newly formed Space Command.

The next talk in the autumn series will take place on Sunday 9 October, when Mandy Hickson will deliver a webinar entitled An Officer, Not a Gentleman.

Mandy served in the RAF as a Tornado GR4 fast jet pilot and operated in a number of hostile environments, including patrolling the ‘no fly’ zone over Iraq. Now a highly regarded motivational speaker, her webinar is set to be one of the highlights of our autumn talks series. Mandy has recently launched her bestselling book, An Officer, Not a Gentleman, which tells her inspirational journey to become a pioneering female fighter pilot.
