Musical tribute to the men of D-Day

Gleaming Rolls Royces and fantastic tunes created a great backdrop for visitors to the Memorial on Sunday.

Even the weather stayed fair as Folkestone Rock Choir and the talented young musicians of the Kent Youth Jazz Orchestra (KYJO) entertained the crowds at the clifftop site at an event that celebrated the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

The singers and musicians were not the only attraction at the site, which played host to members of the South Eastern Section of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club  for the second year in succession. They enjoyed a picnic in view of the National Memorial to the Few while visitors admired their highly polished, beautifully cared for machines.

Rolls Royce owners aren’t the only people who like to set their pride and joy against the impressive backdrop of The Wing and the Memorial; the site regularly welcomes other car enthusiasts. Keep an eye on our events page to check upcoming visits.
