The Battle of Britain Memorial Relatives & Friends of The Few (BBMRFF) is our new supporters’ organisation, created for everyone who feels a connection to the men who fought in the Battle of Britain — whether through family ties to The Few, links to the Many who supported them, or simply a deep respect for their courage and sacrifice.
BBMRFF brings together descendants, friends, and supporters who want to play an active part in safeguarding the legacy of 1940. By joining, you help strengthen the work of the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust, ensuring we can continue to care for the Memorial, share the stories of the young airmen, and inspire future generations.
As a charity, we rely on this support. We ask for a minimum recurring donation of £5 a month (£60 a year) and becoming part of BBMRFF is a meaningful way to honour the past while helping secure the future of this special place.

Aircraft

Cockpit Cafe
With the best view in Kent, the Cockpit Café on the first floor of The Wing looks out over the Channel to France and serves a delicious range of drinks, sandwiches, cake, cream teas, beer and wine.
The Wall
The Wall lists all aircrew known to have flown at least one sortie with an accredited squadron or unit of the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Names are in alphabetical order, without rank or decoration, reflecting the shared contribution of all the Few to the RAF’s victory.
Blade of Honour
Through engraved tiles laid beside the Memorial’s iconic propeller blades, The Blade of Honour recognises the ground crews, observers, wardens and civilians whose vital contributions helped secure victory in 1940.
The Wing
Inspired by the shape of a Spitfire wing, it is home to The Scramble Experience and Cockpit Café, with panoramic views across the Channel.

The Memorial
Created by sculptor Harry Gray, the Airman is the iconic centrepiece of the Memorial depicting a Battle of Britain pilot gazing out across the Channel.
