Unique print to go on display
A drawing signed by the late Squadron Leader Geoffrey Wellum, one of the Few, was presented to the Battle of Britain Memorial Trust on Tuesday (25 June) by Group Captain (Retd) Alastair McKay, Chairman of 92 Squadron Association.
The print was, appropriately, number 92 of a limited edition of 100 and had been earmarked as Sqn Ldr Wellum’s personal copy of the squadron print by aviation artist James Baldwin.
Trust Secretary Patrick Tootal accepted the print on behalf of the Trust. The original, which hangs in the RAF Club in London’s Piccadilly, was commissioned to mark the centenary of 92 (East India) Squadron RAF.
