A photography workshop that promises to be “educational, inspirational and fun” is being held at the Memorial, the setting for many great images over the years.
The National Memorial to the Few and the surrounding features of the site, from the iconic Spitfire and Hurricane replicas to the Spitfire wing-shaped Wing building, makes the clifftop home of the Memorial an ideal spot for photography.
And now, thanks to expert Andy Markwell, keen amateur lensmen and women have the opportunity to learn how to take great pictures of this great venue – and elsewhere.
Beyond Pressing The Shutter, which is being held in Hunting Lodge, the site’s former visitor centre, on Sunday 27 October, starting at 10am, promises photogaphers “a highly educational, inspirational, and fun experience” at what Andy describes as “a fantastic location”.
As well as providing inspiration, the workshop will cover:
– Key features and settings to help you improve your images
– Lighting/photography at different times of the day
– Basic editing
– Different types of camera.
The course costs £35, including refreshments, with an early bird discount for those booking before 30 September. Book via Eventbrite at
