Join us on Battle of Britain Day

A short Service of Commemoration will once again mark this year’s Battle of Britain Day, on Saturday 15 September, at 11 am.

The Trust is hoping to be joined by a dozen or more Standard Bearers, who will add colour and dignity to this short but important commemoration, and a Spitfire flypast is planned if weather and serviceability permits.

Members of the public are warmly invited to meet at the National Memorial to the Few, the centrepiece of the Battle of Britain Memorial, at 10.50am.  Wreaths will be laid as part of the commemoration.

ImportantPlease Note that The Trust always marks Battle of Britain Day on the day itself, not on the nearest Sunday. This year’s event is on Saturday 15 September.

Most grateful for the excellent support from the Standard Bearers for Battle of Britain Day this year. The splash of colour that your presence brought to the ceremony was most appreciated. The display given by the Spitfire and Hurricane, together with their Dove escort during the ceremony was the icing on the cake and a fitting tribute to the commemoration.
