Classic car show to raise funds for the Trust

Around 80 classic cars, a “Green Goddess” fire engine and a 1960s car transporter are among the attractions due to appear at the Bonnets and Wings* Classic Car Show planned for the site on Sunday 10 September.

Local car enthusiasts will be making the most of the stunning backdrop offered by the National Memorial to the Few, the Christopher Foxley-Norris Memorial Wall, our replica Hurricane and Spitfire and, of course, The Wing, to show off their prized possessions.

The show runs from 10am to 4pm and there will be refreshments, stalls, a raffle and other attractions, as well as a special deal on entry to The Scramble Experience.

*Please note, there is no air show planned for the day.

I spoke to one of the organisers on Sunday and they are keen to have their event on the same day as the Capel garage safari sale next year. I said that I would check with the village hall committee and let them know. The garage sale will be on Sunday 2nd Sept next year. Please could you pass this information on to the car show organisers or could you give me a contact email or phone number.
    Regards, Tony Lake.
