Here’s what pupils from Stowting Primary thought of their visit…

Education is one of the major aims of the Battle of Britain Memorial, and so we were thrilled to receive some great feedback from the children of Stowting CE Primary after a recent visit.

‘The Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne is an experience I will never forget. I especially liked the scramble experience; all of the noises made you really understand what it was like for the brave pilots. I think that the memorial is an extremely special place to remember those who served our country in the Battle of Britain.”

“My class and I really enjoyed our recent visit to your calm and beautiful Battle of Britain Memorial. I was amazed by the accurate replicas of the ‘planes; they were amazing.”

“I really liked the interactive room – it was so awesome! I loved the fact that that you had the uniforms shrunk to children’s sizes, and I really liked the film.”

“Thank you so much! I really enjoyed the memorial and the wall with all the names on. I thought that the models of the Spitfire and Hurricane were very interesting and I like how you remember the people that died for us.”

“I really enjoyed going to the Battle of Britain Memorial and I would love to come back again. I really enjoyed trying on the uniforms in the interactive room.”
