Two enthusiastic groups, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, were at The Wing to try their hands, some for the first time, at assembling a model aircraft or first world war tank.
The well-attended sessions, supported by a few experienced modellers, proved a great success, with young and old turning out some impressive scale models from Airfix’ starter kit range.
Participants, ranging from youngsters to grandparents, were able to choose from a Sopwith Camel, Fokker DR1, Foland Gnat or a slightly more tricky British male tank – and no-one went home empty handed.
The event was organised to raise money for the charity and followed a similar Make and Paint day last year. Look out for the next one!
