The talk, on Sunday 24 April, will focus on the gallant wartime pilots who announced themselves to the world, quickly won the public’s affection and went on to forge the lasting legend of the iconic Spitfire.
There will be tales of daily combat missions during and after the Battle of Britain and in the war-torn skies of North Africa and Europe – all told using the pilots’ extraordinary first-hand accounts and archive interview clips.
As with all our Sunday afternoon talks, Andy’s presentation will start at 2.30pm and last for approximately one hour. Copies of Nick’s book will be on sale and refreshments will be available in the Cockpit Cafe.
