We are already getting excited about our most important event of the year – Memorial Day – and we want you to join us.
The Trust recalls the heroes of the Battle of Britain each year by holding a commemorative parade and service on a Sunday close to the start of the Battle.
This year the event, which features a flypast and a display by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, takes place on 9 July.
The event itself is free to attend, although for the first time this year the Trust has some places in the guest marquee available for paying guests.
We are hopeful that at least one of the Few will be joining guests for lunch in the marquee, although as always this will depend on the health of the veterans, all of whom are now well into their nineties.
Military vehicles, displays by the ATC and a colourful parade of standards all add to the excitement of the day, which will finish with the now-traditional Sunset Ceremony featuring the Central Band of the RAF. The Scramble Experience, shop and cafe will be open before and after the parade and service and the gates open at 10am.
